August Book Review Roundup

In a new series of posts I will be rounding up the books I have read each month.  Over the course of this month I managed a total of 23 books this month:  The following chart below shows the number by country of origin.

USA 9 39.13%
UK 11 47.83%
Australia 1 4.35%
Sweden 1 4.35%
South Africa 1 4.35%

The best book out of these was James M Cain's Double Indemnity for its excellent hardboiled noir writing.

The worst books in the series are jointly tied between Lauren Beukes' Shining Girls and Terry Hayes I Am Pilgrim.
